YEREVAN. – The Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, Tigran Khachatryan, met with the World Bank (WB) mission on development policy operation and technological potential fulfillment.

The minister presented the key points in the economic section of the Armenian government’s program, and noted that increasing economic productivity and competitiveness in Armenia is impossible without substantial investments, the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The WB representatives, in turn, noted that the bank was preparing an analysis on information and communication technologies, and that it stands with the Armenian government in implementing its program.

Also, the WB group asked the minister about the measures toward the improvement of investment climate in Armenia, and discussed with him the law initiatives as well as business climate reforms in the country.

In addition, the interlocutors conferred on the development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship as well as diversification of Armenia’s economy.
