Armenia has been and remains the main guarantor of the security of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), and it will continue to follow through on its commitments and work for peace. According to Aysor.am, this is what Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan told journalists in Stepanakert, responding to the question about his assessment of the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

“We have set forth a question that concerns full and fruitful efforts. We have explained the meaning and importance of Artsakh’s participation for fruitful efforts. I’m sure you listened to the Prime Minister’s speech in which he very clearly expressed the same idea that Armenia has never set preconditions. Armenia is going to work for peace. Today’s meeting was also devoted to that, that is, Armenia continues to work closely with the authorities of Artsakh,” Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said.

As far as the upcoming Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting is concerned, Mnatsakanyan said Armenia is determined to be constructive and practical.

Today, the joint session of the National Security Councils of Armenia and Artsakh was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Bako Sahakyan in Stepanakert, and the main topic on the agenda was the joint assessment of the current state of the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the outline for coordinated actions. The session lasted more than 7 hours.
