A seminar will be held in Armenian Parliament titled 'Parliamentary oversight of the Armenian Armed Forces', said Armenian Parliament vice-speaker Alen Simonyan on Wednesday.

Simonyan touched upon the political processes that took place in Armenia last year and led to a change of power in the country, noting that this was achieved only thanks to the active position and will of the people.

According to him, Armenia has had a good partnership with NATO for many years, while the newly elected parliament highly appreciates cooperation with NATO and the high level of political dialogue between the two sides.

Simonyan noted that Armenia highly values mutually beneficial and mutually complementary political cooperation, extensive inter-parliamentary and multi-profile relations, as well as the implementation of bilateral programs with both NATO member states and the CSTO.

Alen Simonyan reminded that Armenia, together with NATO, actively participates in peacekeeping missions in order to maintain peace and stability.

As reported earlier, NATO week is held in Armenia.
