Only Section 6.2 of the Program of the Government is devoted to the public finance sector, and it mainly addresses the shadow economy issue and the increase of state revenues.

This is what Head of the State Revenue Committee Davit Ananyan declared when the report on the implementation and achieved outcomes were being discussed during the session of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly on 21 March.

Ananyan particularly stated that the State Revenue Committee is taking steps for real assessment of the level of shadow economy and that the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance are actively involved.

“This will also create conditions for Armenia to receive necessary financial assistance from international organizations in the future,” Ananyan added.
