An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred on Sunday in southwest Turkey, RIA Novosti reported referring to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake was recorded at 11.30 UTC. The epicenter of aftershocks was located ten kilometers northeast of the city of Ajipayam.

The center of the earthquake lies at a depth of ten kilometers.
