Centrist Democrat International, the global organization of centre and centre-right parties, adopted a resolution recognizing and condemning the Armenian Genocide during the meeting of the executive committee.

The resolution was authored by Armen Ashotyan, deputy chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia.

 The organization unites around 100 parties from 50 countries from Asia, Europe and Latin America.

“Adoption of this resolution gives the Foreign Ministry an opportunity to work with the countries which have not recognized the Armenian Genocide, but where the ruling and opposition parties are members of this political family,” Ashotyan said during a live video on Facebook.
