Owner of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy Holding Bernard Arnault has become the world’s third person with a fortune of $100 billion after Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, reports RIA Novosti, citing Bloomberg.
The company’s shares have surged 43% this year, the third-best performer on France’s CAC 40 Index.
According to Bloomberg, Arnault’s fortune of $100.4 billion now equals more than 3% of France’s economy.
