YEREVAN. – A mother-to-be and her newborn have died Thursday, at Vedi town maternity hospital in Ararat Province of Armenia. Police have confirmed this information which Armenian News-NEWS.am had received.

According to our information, the 29-year-old woman was expecting her third child.

Edgar Janoyan, Deputy Chief of Police Information Department, said the call with respect to this incident had been received Friday morning.

A forensic medical examination has been ordered regarding this occurrence.

The circumstances behind this incident are being ascertained.
