YEREVAN. – I believe that there is no tension and there will not be between Armenia and Artsakh. The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, on Friday noted this in a briefing with reporters.

Commenting on Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan’s recent statement in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) that Armenia will be the guarantor of the expression of the free will of the people of Artsakh and, through that expression of will, the guarantor of the formation of legitimate authorities in Artsakh, Avinyan said as follows: “I believe that Armenia has that commitment to ensure the holding of free, fair, democratic elections in Artsakh, and we [Armenia] are fully ready to fulfilling that commitment.”

“I consider that the citizens of Armenia and Artsakh should be free in expressing their will,” Avinyan added, in particular.
