Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan explained the reasons why Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not go to Poland.

His remarks came during the press conference on Friday.

The Foreign Minister noted that the issue has two components. The first is the context of events. “I had a reason to say and I will repeat how we in Armenia relate to this and what the Second World War means for the Armenian people, how many victims our people brought to defend their homeland. This attitude influenced the decision,” the minister said.

The second part of the question concerned the Armenian-Polish relations. According to the minister, this is an important area for us, both bilateral relations and cooperation within the EU Eastern Partnership. According to the minister, the planned visit of the prime minister will be postponed to a later date.
