YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has saved 3.8 billion drams [approx. US$8,012,100] in pensions and benefits, in the first half of this year. The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, wrote this on his Facebook page.
“Can we say that these are the result of a consistent fight against corruption in those domains and an increase in efficiency? Yes, we can say [that],” he added. “The [aforesaid] savings will serve to fund other, many years of unfunded projects in the domain of social security.”
