YEREVAN. – The celebrations for the Independence Day anniversary of Armenia will kick off on Saturday, September 21, at 11am, at the central park of Gyumri. Eduard Aghajanyan, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia, on Wednesday noted this at a press conference in the government building.

In his words, on that day, the famous bars and cafés of capital city Yerevan will also operate in this park until 11pm, there will be seven music stages in downtown Gyumri, a public debate will be held on proportional development of communities, the works and creations of well-known Gyumri artists and craftsmen will be displayed, Armenia’s provinces will be represented in separate pavilions, there will be gastronomic tents, Vardanants Square will be transformed into a children’s village, a photo exhibition dedicated to Armenia’s independence will be held, a gala concert will begin at Vardanants Square at 7pm, and the festivities will conclude at 11pm with a fireworks display.

Aghajanyan added that there will also be a hot air balloon festival, and pilots will come from Russia, Bulgaria, Georgia, and Brazil.
