Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will discuss the Syrian issue, RIA Novosti reported.

In a telephonic conversation on the initiative of the Turkish side, Putin invited Erdoğan to Russia.

The office of the Turkish president on Wednesday announced that Erdoğan will arrive in Sochi, Russia, on October 22.
