A police car was damaged during a protest that citizens of Georgia are holding in central Tbilisi against the screening of Levan Akin’s Georgian-Swedish film “And Then We Danced”, which is about non-conventional love, reports Sputnik-Gruzia.

The protest is organized by businessman Levan Vasadze, who considers himself the guardian of morality in the country, and the Georgian March nationalist movement. A couple of days ago, they had promised to disrupt the screening of the film devoted to young dancer Merab, who transforms completely when he falls in love with his pretentious opponent Irakli. At this moment, five demonstrators are detained for disturbing public order.

The participants of the public rally near Amirani movie theater clash with police officers from time to time as they demand to enter the movie theater. During a regular clash, young activist Anna Subeliani, who supports freedom of speech and had come to watch the film, received an injury. She said something heavy fell on her head, and doctors performed first aid.
