Armenia is the largest exporter of precious stones to Russia leaving behind China, a report says.

The analytical service of FinExpertiza international audit and consulting network published data on precious stones, metals and jewelry imported by Russia for January-August 2019.

“The exports of precious stones from Armenia amounted to $140.9 million, while from China to $61.8 million. Armenia is mainly exporting precious stone scrap ($95.9) million and diamonds ($33.2 million),” RBK writes quoting the report.

Top 5 of largest exporters to Russia also includes Italy, UK and Germany.
