Armenia’s Minister of High Technological Industry Hakob Arshakyan today received USAID Armenia Mission Director Deborah Grieser and Special Council of USAID Armenia’s Sustainable Development Office Jeffrey Paretchan.
Greeting the guests, Minister Hakob Arshakyan talked about the importance of development of technology for economic advancement and presented the Armenian government’s policy. He attached special importance to the actions aimed at improving the quality of technology education and the programs for students of specialized universities and people who wish to gain knowledge about the latest technologies. In particular, starting next year, nearly 6,000 people will have the opportunity to receive free technological education in Yerevan and Armenia’s provinces.
The minister also attached importance to the Armenian Virtual Bridge Program, based on which any company, be it an Armenian or foreign company having started a business in the field of high technology in Armenia, will have the opportunity to use the potential of Diaspora Armenians.
