YEREVAN. – The first electric vehicle charging station in Armenia’s Tavush province opened in the town of Ijevan on November 23.

Governor Hayk Chobanyan was among the guests of the opening ceremony.

Several months ago governor Hayk Chobanyan met with representatives of the Armenian community in Ukraine. During the meeting, the community representatives presented the Ecocars electric transport development project, which will be implemented in Armenia and will start from Tavush province.

Ecocars is a social project of installing electric car charging stations in Armenia, and is implemented within the framework of the investment program of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine.
