Representatives of the My Step Foundation were also attending the signing ceremony.

On behalf of Minister Suren Papikyan and the ministry, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Vache Terteryan greeted the representatives of the Japanese embassy and expressed gratitude for their active participation in the target programs under implementation in Armenia.

In his turn, Ambassador Jun Yamada expressed gratitude to the ministry for it support and underscored the importance of cooperation with the ministry during implementation of the programs. The ambassador didn’t consider the signing of the agreements for the communities at the ministry by chance since he sees the future of Armenia through community and territorial development and the improvement of community infrastructures.

The grant program “For installing a solar energy heating system in the kindergarten in Meghri” will cost $51,154,000 and will be aimed at installing a solar energy system and water heater in the only kindergarten in Meghri, while the grant program “For drinking water supply in Jujevan village” will cost $66,382 and will solve the problem with drinking water supply for 135 household economies in Jujevan village.
