The anti-tobacco law introduced by the Armenian Health Ministry Armenia will not affect the production and export of tobacco products in the republic, said Armenian Deputy Health Minister Lena Nanushyan at the Armenian parliament on Monday.

According to the deputy minister, the goal of this legislation is only to reduce the volume of tobacco use in Armenia.

This draft law ban tobacco’s use indoors. Restrictions will be imposed on smoking in public transport, playgrounds, hospitals, clinics and medical centers, in educational and cultural institutions.

There are also certain rules for the sale of tobacco, as well as restrictions on the advertising of tobacco products.
