One person was injured after shots were fired in Tavush Province of Armenia.

At around 9:30pm yesterday police received a call from the Dilijan town hospital that a person was brought to hospital with extremely severe gunshot wounds, shamshyan.com ( https://shamshyan.com/hy/ ) reports.

Police and investigators have found that the injured man is Dilijan resident Arman Ghalechyan, 31, who, according to doctors, is unable to explain what happened because he is in the intensive care unit. He was taken to the hospital from in front of a gas station which formerly convicted Avag Balinyan, 34, operates on lease, and where he sustained gunshot wounds.

Police and investigators found out that the gunshot wounds were inflicted upon Ghalechyan by Balinyan's, who then had fled the scene on a car.

Near the scene, police and investigators also found a crashed car which, according to preliminary information, is owned by Ghalechyan's friend, who, upon learning of the incident, had rushed to the scene but crashed.

Ghalechyan has been convicted several times in the past, and now he is a suspect on another criminal case. Last year, he had fired shots from an automatic weapon at Aragats Tamrazyan near the Dilijan National Park. He was found and arrested on suspicion of committing this crime, but he was twice released on bail.
