UK PM Boris Johnson made the first new appointments in his cabinet after winning the early parliamentary elections. According to Sky News, the Conservative Simon Hart was appointed Minister of Wales, and Nicky Morgan was reassigned Minister of Digital, Culture, Media and Sports, TASS reported.

Former Wales Minister Alun Cairns was forced to resign from his post in early November due to a court scandal in which he was implicated. Morgan had to leave her post due to the fact that she did not take part in the elections to the House of Commons and lost her deputy mandate. However, on Monday it was announced that the UK Queen Elizabeth II granted Morgan a peerage and the title of Baroness. She will become a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament and thanks to this will be able to act as Minister.

Johnson will have to fill two more vacant posts of deputy ministers, and major shifts in his cabinet are expected only in February - after UK leaves the EU, which should happen on January 31, 2020.
