Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan isn’t doing the right thing by keeping second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan locked up in prison. This is what leader of Tseghakron Party Shant Harutyunyan told journalists today.

“As an Armenian, I’m ashamed when I hear Pashinyan say the Presidents of Belarus and Kazakhstan petitioned to release Khachaturov (one of the ex-officials charged under the case of the events of March 1, 2008). This makes me want to ask why he doesn’t join the current and former presidents of Karabakh Bako Sahakyan and Arkady Ghukasyan to release Kocharyan,” he stated.

Shant Harutyunyan stressed that he unequivocally supports the change of the preventive measure for Robert Kocharyan and his release.
