YEREVAN. – Numerous new airlines have applied for airline transportation in Armenia. In 2019, six new foreign airlines started regular air services in the country. Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan stated this at his yearend press conference today, adding that it is about Romanian, Ukrainian, and Russian airlines.

"in 2020, we expect the entry of new airlines that already submitted a bid to the Armenian market," the Minister added. It is about airBaltic, about Trans France airlines, whereas it was already said about Vizz Air.

According to him, these are important achievements for Armenia. "I asses the work done by our ministry in 2019 at least satisfactory because we have been able to accomplish the tasks set before us."
