Another thousand signatures have been added to the nearly 60,000 signatures of citizens of Armenia and Arstakh demanding the release of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan. This is what Aghvan Vardanyan, coordinator of the committee for the release of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, told journalists today.

“There are more signatures. If you visit our website, you will see that there have been about 1,000 more signatures over the past week. The aim of collecting these signatures is to show the authorities their statements on zero support and zero signatures are simply absurd. Today, tens of thousands of people want to get out of the situation that Armenia is in. They understand that neither the country nor citizens will get anything out of Kocharyan’s unlawful imprisonment. This will pass. Robert Kocharyan is not the kind of person who can be restrained through such methods,” Vardanyan said.

When asked if people will come out to the streets, Aghvan Vardanyan said time will tell.
