The government’s decisions and approaches remind me of the working style of a totalitarian state. This is what ex-Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“The issue related to slaughterhouses showed that average villagers immediately understood that the added value created through cattle breeding will be partially alienated and will hurt villagers. Now the government has raised the issue of polyethylene bags. How can the government go against technological advancement and announce the expansion or restart of the application of grids? Well, government, go ahead and set a 400% or 500% excise tax for those who use polyvinyl chloride or plastic bags, and you will see inflation. You will also see how the same bag can be used several dozens of times,” he stated.
