Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today received the delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Stef Blok, who is in Armenia on an official visit, reports the news service of the Government of Armenia.

The Prime Minister welcomed Blok’s visit to Armenia and expressed confidence that it will give a new impulse to further development and expansion of the relations between Armenia and the Netherlands. Attaching importance to the organizing of reciprocal visits of high-ranking officials, the Prime Minister added that this year he is scheduled to pay an official visit to the Netherlands which will be the first visit of Armenia’s head of state to the Netherlands since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Pashinyan welcomed the ratification of the Armenia-European Union Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement by the Parliament of the Netherlands, which is of great significance for expanding the relations with European partners and the joint programs.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial reception, Stef Blok stated that the democratic processes and reforms in Armenia are clear to see and emphasized that his country’s government is also ready to contribute to the effective implementation of those processes and reforms through mutual cooperation. The foreign minister viewed cooperation in economy as prospective and expressed certainty that Prime Minister Pashinyan’s visit to the Netherlands will also help enrich and expand the agenda of bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the interlocutors also exchanged views on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and regional issues.
