YEREVAN. – The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) referred to a Reuters report on Jan. 29 that the HSBC Group was considering reviewing its operations in Armenia.

The respective CBA statement said that the HSBC Bank's presence and its engagement in Armenia’s financial system have always been highly valued during meetings between the CBA Governor and the HSBC Group management, and that this bank's performance in Armenia is regarded as a "success story."

As per the CBA statement, HSBC Bank Armenia has applied to the CBA, as a regulatory body, to register its new manager, who will take office in March.
