Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan today told reporters that he’s more than certain that there will be a high voter turnout during the referendum for the constitutional amendments.

According to him, the referendum will be a farewell to the ‘trench’ in which politically dead politicians have gathered.

“Today, an attempt is being made to steal the revolution that the people made in 2018,” Alen Simonyan declared and added that the people can do away with those politicians by participating in the referendum.

When asked if the government will try to apply administrative resources to ensure a high voter turnout, the deputy parliamentary speaker said if the government applied administrative resources, it would have applied them during the last elections and asked reporters not to compare this government with the previous one.
