YEREVAN. – The man who tried to set himself on fire in front of the Yerevan Municipality was taken from the police station to a medical facility. The Armenia Police press service told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

When asked which particular institution he was taken to, the police responded that they could not answer that question.

As reported earlier, a middle-aged man tried to set himself on fire near the entrance to Yerevan Municipality today.

He poured a bottle gasoline on himself, but police prevented further development and transferred him to a police station with handcuffs.

Police said this was not the first time he had come to the city hall, and noted that they will try to find out why he had come this time.

Those gathered in the area said the man had not come to the municipality alone, and his three young children were with him.
