YEREVAN. – Judicial reforms in the Republic of Armenia are important from the point of view of implementing strategic reforms. Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, Head the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, said this at the presentation of the results of the pilot grant schemes for regional development.

According to her, it is impossible to achieve business environment improvement in the country without a transparent and fair judicial system. Wiktorin pointed out that other long-term projects as well as sound budget investments are needed for serious progress, and the more we talk about successful projects, the more investors will be interested in Armenia.

Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan, in his turn, noted that the Armenian government should do its utmost to make the most efficient use of the available resources and to evenly develop the country. "This agenda is fully in line with the provisions of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement," he added.
