During his official visit to Serbia from March 9 to 11, today, the delegation led by Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic, as reported the news service of the National Assembly.

Greeting the delegation led by Armenia’s parliamentary speaker, Brnabic expressed gratitude to her counterparts for the friendship and Armenia’s support and stated that cancelation of the visa regime and the upcoming official opening of the Embassy of Serbia in Armenia were important in the context of the development of bilateral ties.

Expressing gratitude for the cordial reception, Mirzoyan emphasized that, in addition to cancelation of the visa regime, Serbia and Armenia need to take steps to establish direct air communication. Touching upon Armenia’s position on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia’s position is first and foremost about ensuring the physical security of the Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The parties also touched upon possible cooperation in the sector of military production.

Later, Mirzoyan had a meeting with Patriarch Irinej of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
