Portuguese Finance Minister Mario Centeno has resigned, AP reported.

According to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Centeno asked to leave and will be replaced by Secretary of State for the Budget Joao Leao.

No reason for Centeno’s departure has been provided; but according to Portugal's media, he was keen to leave.
