The five men who were taken to hospital with symptoms of poisoning after the tragic incident in Meghradzor village of Armenia were not hospitalized, and after receiving medical treatment, they went home on their consent; Hrazdan Medical Center informed Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.

According to preliminary information, these men suffered gas poisoning when they had tried to retrieve the dead bodies of three young men from the mine.

At midnight, the bodies of three young men were found dead in the tunnel of a non-operating mine belonging to Meghradzor-Gold LLC. According to preliminary reports, they died from carbon monoxide poisoning. They were Meghradzor village residents Bagrat Khachatryan, 34, Hayk Safaryan, 29, and Aram Gogolyan, 27. In order to retrieve their bodies, rescuers, several ordinary citizens, and police officers had walked two kilometers to reach this gold mine. Later, it turned out that five other Meghradzor residents had suffered gas poisoning during an attempt to retrieve the dead from this mine, and they were taken to Hrazdan town hospital.

It is not clear yet whether the casualties are employees Meghradzor-Gold company.

Police are preparing a report on this incident.
