Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan has sent a congratulatory message to Speaker of the Majlis (Parliament) of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

The message particularly reads as follows:

“Your Excellency,

On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and myself, I cordially congratulate you on being elected Speaker of the Majlis of the Islamic Republic of Iran and wish you success in implementing your mission.

You have made great contributions to the defense and security of the Islamic Republic of Iran and to city management in Tehran, and you will surely make outstanding achievements as the head of parliament.

Armenia attaches great importance to the existing centuries-old friendly ties and cordial relations between our countries. Today, the common agenda of our countries’ relations covers a broad range of contacts, starting from cultural and interreligious ties and ending with economic cooperation.

I am certain that during your term of office the interparliamentary cooperation between Armenia and Iran will continue to grow and give a new impetus to the existing cooperation between our two countries for the benefit of our countries and for the welfare of the friendly Armenian and Iranian nations.
