As a result of the daily work of the Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia and of the Armenian embassy in the Russian Federation (RF), two children, whose parents could not return to Russia due to the state of emergency, were transferred to Armenia from Ufa, Russia, informed Armenia’s Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan.

"The two children in the photo were left alone for a while in the RF city of Ufa, as their parents had come to Armenia for a few days for an urgent matter, and hours before returning [to Russia], they were informed about the suspension of flights due to the state of emergency.

As a result of the daily work of the Human Rights Defender, the embassy of Armenia in Russia, the children have safely reached Armenia. The Commissioner of Bashkiria [Bashkortostan], whom the Human Rights Defender of Armenia contacted as soon as he found out about the family's story, also played a big role in this matter," Tatoyan wrote.
