Armenian MP of the Turkish Parliament Garo Paylan has proposed a question to Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu in regard to Turkey’s threatening statements following the recent tension on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

As reported Istanbul’s Armenian Agos Weekly, Garo Paylan reminded Cavusoglu about his statement in which the latter stated that the Armenian authorities need to pull themselves together since Turkey, as a nation, stands with Azerbaijan.

“As a member state of the OSCE, which is considered an institution in charge of settling the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, was biased during this tension and made statements that further deepened the tension.

1. In this context, are you supporting nationalism during the Azerbaijan-Armenia tension?

2. Haven’t you realized that “pouring oil on fire” in foreign politics will cause more problems?

3. The military-industrial sector of Turkey wants to sell weapons to Azerbaijan. Is this why you are adding to the tension?

4. Are you thinking about sending troops to Azerbaijan?

5. If Turkey is not a tribal stat, why are you leading the policy of tribal discrimination?

6. Do you remember that Turkey is a member of the OSCE, which is dealing with the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict?

7. Haven’t you realized that instability in the Caucasus favors Russia?

8. How would you assess Azerbaijan’s threat to strike the nuclear power plant of Armenia?” Garo Paylan concluded.
