Flower shops in Minsk are distributing flowers to citizens protesting against police brutality, RIA Novosti reports, adding that there are nearly 1,000 protesters at Victory Square.

A clerk of one of the flower shops said flowers are being distributed free-of-charge. “We can’t keep calm when the country is in this situation. Of course, we don’t always distribute flowers for free since we have to pay rent, but when such things happen in the country, you want to share beauty with people at difficult moments,” the clerk said.
