YEREVAN. – Armenia’s second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan has slammed the officials’ habit of posting official messages on their personal social media accounts.

"There are new technologies, and it is clear that they are used also by politicians to raise their standing. It is unacceptable for me when an official spreads an official message through his personal [social media] page; this means that these people do not understand what the state and the public administration. The two concepts should not be confused. The post on Facebook can be removed, but the official message shall remain. The official statement reflects the state policy in a certain sphere. On other issues, it is the right of people to engage in their PR," Kocharyan said Thursday during a meeting with a group of youth.
