The Kremlin notes that peacekeepers can be deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh [(Artsakh)] only with the consent of both parties. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated this, RIA Novosti reported.

"We have already answered such questions many times. The deployment of peacekeepers is possible only with the consent of both sides [Armenian and Azerbaijani]," he said, when asked how the Kremlin views Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan's support for the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in the conflict zone.

And answering the clarifying question that the Azerbaijani side has not yet agreed and whether the Kremlin's position is the same regarding Russia's readiness to deploy peacekeepers if the parties to the conflict agree to it, Peskov noted: "I will not make any eventual judgments on this issue; I will limit myself to what I told you."
