The attempt of Azerbaijan to attack in the direction of Shushi yesterday was prevented. This was stated Monday by Suren Sarumyan, the press secretary of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Ministry of Defense.

"Yesterday during the day and at night, the hostilities continued in various parts of the battlefront.

The Azerbaijani armed forces again used virtually all the arsenal at their disposal, going on the attack toward the positions of the Artsakh DA [Defense Army].

Thanks to intelligence operations, all attempts by the adversary to advance have failed. The enemy military forces were found and crushed.

The main attempt of the adversary to advance was in the direction of Shushi—although in general the same can be said about the length of the entire front line.

In addition, it [the Azerbaijani army] again tried to use unmanned aerial vehicles [UAVs] in the area of the [Artsakh] capital [Stepanakert]; the UAVs have been hit," added the Artsakh MOD spokesman.
