The first four planes carrying Russian peacekeepers took off from Ulyanovsk Vostochny Airport to the area of missions in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, TASS reports.

"The planes are carrying peacekeeping unit personnel, means of transportation, armored vehicles, and material resources," the statement also said.

It later became known about the departure of the fifth similar plane.

The Russian Defense Ministry reminded that a total of 1,960 servicemen, 90 armored vehicles, and 380 vehicles and special equipment will be transported to deploy peacekeeping troops in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
