Presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

The press service of the Kremlin reported that Putin informed his Turkish counterpart about the agreements concluded with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and recorded in the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020.

“Erdogan highly appreciated Russia’s mediation efforts, which serve as a good basis for a long-term and comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The importance of reaching a ceasefire agreement, which provides the opportunity to stop the bloodshed, was particularly mentioned. An agreement was reached on further close cooperation in the context of implementation of several actions envisaged in the statement,” the press service reported.
