Our main task is to create an opportunity for conducting public discourse in the conditions of democracy, legitimacy, and stability. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this Monday at the special session of the National Assembly of Armenia—and responding to the MPs' questions.

"I do not think we have the opportunity to do that today because we have a task of restoring security and lawfulness in the Republic of Armenia. After all that, it will be possible to talk about the other things to do," he added.

Touching upon the possibility of early parliamentary elections, Pashinyan emphasized: "Our task is to create a situation in which no further development will jeopardize the existence of the people's power. I am directly saying: It is out of the question for me to take any concrete step as a result of which the people's ability and right to form the halls of power through free, transparent, and free will would be jeopardized. And I believe it is unequivocal that the people should have the opportunity to speak; we will go that way—ensuring security, stability, solidarity."
