Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held phone talks with President of France Emmanuel Macron.

The press service of the Government of Armenia reported that the interlocutors discussed the situation created in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The parties underscored the importance of full restoration of the activities of the Co-Chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group. They also discussed the issue of ensuring the unobstructed and safe return of tens of thousands of Armenians who left their homes over the past weeks and mentioned the importance of preservation of the Armenian religious, historical and cultural heritage in Artsakh.

Importance was attached to the maintenance of peace in the region and further de-escalation of the situation. In this regard, Pashinyan noted the fundamental significance of international recognition of the Republic of Artsakh.
