Vahagn Vermishyan, former Chairman of the Urban Development Committee of Armenia and currently an inmate at Yerevan-Kentron Penitentiary, on Saturday ended his hunger strike, Aravot.am reported.

The aforementioned information was confirmed to the website by Nona Navikyan, head of the public relations department of the Penitentiary Service of Armenia, noting that explanatory work had been carried out with this prisoner.

Vermishyan is in satisfactory health condition.

Vahagn Vermishyan had declared a hunger strike on Wednesday, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
