The number of refugees who were able to return from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh with the help of Russian peacekeepers exceeded 23.5 thousand, TASS reported referring to the Russian defense ministry.

In total, 23,514 refugees returned to Nagorno-Karabakh to their places of permanent residence, the statement says.

The Russian peacekeepers are in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in accordance with the agreements signed on November 9 in a joint statement by the heads of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
