These days I receive a number of calls, especially from Shirak Province, regarding the lists of our captives, their condition, and their safe return to Armenia; former Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan on Thursday wrote this on Facebook.

"This morning I had a private conversation with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation [(RF)] to the Republic of Armenia [(RA)], Sergey Kopirkin, on the issues related to the [Armenian] captives, as well as a number of issues related to the security of Armenia.

Mr. Ambassador presented details on the work being done to safely return the captives to Armenia, assuring that the RF leadership and MFA [Ministry of Foreign Affairs] are heartily engaged in the issues of the safe return of our compatriots.

Immediately after meeting with Mr. Ambassador, I had a telephone conversation with RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, who also gave clarifications on the work being done in this regard, and assured that everything is being done to ensure the captives’ safe return to the Homeland.

The work done and being done inspires hope that the lives and health of our captives are not at risk.

We are looking forward to the return of our compatriots captured in Azerbaijan,” Tsolakyan added in particular.
