A criminal case has been launched in regard to the operation of a gold mine located in the Mghart village of Lori Province. This is what Minister of Environment of Armenia Romanos Petrosyan told reporters today, adding that he has received a letter regarding the operation of the gold mine from the country’s police chief in response to his inquiry.

Touching upon the situation surrounding the Amulsar gold mine, Petrosyan emphasized that he couldn’t give any evaluation or draw any conclusion since investigation of the criminal case is in progress.
