Libya's parliament announced that an appellate court in the east of the country has canceled agreements on border demarcation and security cooperation between the Government of National Accord (GNA) and Turkey, Egypt Today reported referring to Al Arabiya.

Turkey signed a maritime border agreement with the internationally recognized government of this North African country in December 2019.

The deal was strongly condemned by Greece as a violation of its sovereign rights and declared illegal by Cyprus, Israel, and Egypt, while the European Union also opposed it.
