His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians today hosted the teachers and alumni of the children’s support center of the Yerevan-based Naggashian Children’s Home at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Head of the Information System of the Mother See of Holy Etcmiadzin, Vahram Priest Melikyan reported on his Facebook page, adding the following:

“Director of the Center Mihran Mirijanyan introduced the teachers and informed that this time expecting alumni are also attending the meeting with His Holiness. Mirijanyan also informed about the classes at the center and the organizing of care for the children. Deputy Director Nune Geghamyan touched upon the Center’s visions for the future and stated that the Center has become a reliable partner in the field of special care due to its vast experience.

His Holiness Karekin II greeted the attendees, gave his blessings and expressed joy for the fact that expecting alumni were attending the meeting. He expressed his appreciation to the director of the Center and the dedicated teachers, viewed the Center’s mission within the scope of the Armenian Church’s social services as important and publicly beneficial and attached importance to the fact that the personnel of the Center continue to maintain ties with alumni and provide them with necessary care.

Today, 18 children are under care at the Center, and there are 20 alumni.”
